This company creates an application called Payke that translates information on product tags to different languages, at Japanese stores for foreign visitors.
I am working for the company form May, 2018. I am working as both outside and inside sales person. I am making appointments though phone call and supporting my boss's negotiation.
I am also working as marketing/researching person. Since I am in Okinawa, I am trying to develop Okinawa industry. To make the business bigger, I am looking for new potential customers. To get fresh and interesting information, I also interview some international students form Asia and visit famous/poplar places in OKinawa finding what they want.
While I was studying abroad in California, I have experienced internship at Encounter Japan. I contributed to the company as a writer for a website which provides some tips for a trip in Mexico and general information in Mexico for Japanese people.The reason why I was interested in working for the company was because of that a Japanese website helped me to get some necessary information to live in the U.S, so I thought I could do same thing for people in Mexico.
I wrote articles about popular sightseeing spots, supermarkets which sell Japanese products and so on. To get more viewers, I interviewed Mexican people in California to have more detail and make my articles attractive. I also included contents relevant to people who live in the U.S. such as how to travel to Mexico and accessible sightseeing/touring information. As a result, the number of viewers per article increased from 400 to 1200.
