It is a solo-research project which aims at inventing a new approach or therapy to diagnose or prevent or cure a disease for Australian living in very remote areas. Each student could choose one disease for their interest. Therefore, I chose lung diseases including Chronic Obstructive diseases and lung cancer as my focus. I proposed a device which can diagnose the lung disease without putting anything into the body but by means of infrared to detect the abnormal angles of the nail to the body of the fingers.

Extraction of Beta-Glucosidase from a yeast
It is a 3 members-group project which makes use of the knowledge acquired in Biochemistry and laboratory sections to extract enzyme, Beta-Glucosidase from a yeast and test its enzymatic activities or strengths after extraction. This project was ran through consecutive 13 weeks including thesis, planning, weekly reports on working progress, improvement and adjustment, and final report and representation of the result of the project.
