私たちが開発したコア製品である”Efficiera"は、独自のディープラーニングモデル軽量化手法「極小量子化技術」を最大限に活かす、FPGAデバイス上もしくはASICデバイス上の回路として動作するCNNの推論演算処理に特化した超低消費電力AI推論アクセラレータIPで、今までAIが使えなかったような環境でもdeep learningによる高度な情報処理を可能にします。

LeapMind Inc. is developing its business with the company mission, “to create innovative devices with machine learning and make them available everywhere” and our original weight reduction technology for deep learning models, the dedicated circuit design, and leveraging the knowledge gained from the collaboration with more than 150 companies.

Our core product "Efficiera" is an ultra-low power AI inference accelerator that can be implemented on an FPGA device or ASIC/ASSP device, and is specialized for CNN inference operations, taking full advantage of our original deep learning model weight reduction method "extremely low bit quantization". It will enable advanced data processing by deep learning in environments where AI could not be used before.

・Efficiera achieves superior power and area efficiency by using LeapMind's proprietary developed technology, the extremely low bit quantization, and it contributes to power savings and lower costs for AI-equipped products.
・The extremely low bit quantization is a quantization technique that expresses weight with 1 bit and activation with 2 bits, which is the limit of the number of bits that cannot be used for deep learning if the number of quantization bits is further reduced.

As a new team member

Job Description
Our main business is the research and development of quantized neural networks and accelerators to execute the neural networks at high speed in order to solve the problem of power consumption, which is a major barrier to the social implementation of deep learning. Due to the necessity of developing our own hardware, we conduct research and development of network designs that work efficiently while meeting the limitations of our own hardware, as well as research and development of the neural network quantization technology itself. Therefore; a software engineer who is proficient in using Deep Learning is currently being needed.

・LeapMind is looking for highly talented Machine Learning Engineers who participate in the development of a highly practical product that can be used in a broader range of environments.

The followings are the responsibilities of this position
・Developing new models and methods for deep learning with high accuracy and less computational load. Also, leads the related projects.
・Development of high-speed neural network inference software in an embedded setting.
・Interpreting, implementing and validating leading-edge research papers
・Collaborating with team members with diverse backgrounds and skills and developing practical products.

Required Skills
・Experience in leading the development of projects (using analysis on footage/signal or machine learning) of 3+ months with several people
・Experience of using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or, Chainer
・Coding experience in Python
・Development experience on Linux
・Bachelor’sDegree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
・Communication in Japanese or English (mainly reading and writing in English)

Desirable Skills
Work experience with C++
2+ years of work experience of machine learning
Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline, or relevant work/engineering experience
Development experience in a team or participation in OSS projects
